FieldPost is an in-house product and technology developed by Nuts & Bolts Interactive. FieldPost provides its customers with domain e-mail and allows them to easily manage their "virtual mail server" with an easy-to-use web-based interface. NBI not only designed and developed the website and user interface for FieldPost but developed the technology that allows its customers to easily manage its e-mail.

FieldPost was initially developed so that NBI could easily manage and remotely access its own e-mail. Almost as soon as it was online one of NBI's customers saw it being used and asked if they could also use the service. Thus FieldPost was born and NBI has been providing outsourced domain e-mail services for its customers.

FieldPost provides you with domain e-mail. It is an outsourced e-mail solution, acting as your full-service "Virtual Mail Server". You don't need any special hardware or software to use FieldPost, just an Internet connection and a domain name. FieldPost works with all modern e-mail client programs, including Microsoft Outlook Express, Netscape Messenger, Eudora and others.

The web-based interface allows you to easily add and modify mailboxes, aliases, and autoresponders. Additionally, FieldPost provides Default Destination e-mail routing. You can think of the "Default Destination Address" as a way of "catching" email that is misspelled.

The "Default Destination Address" is where you want undeliverable incoming email sent to. If someone sends an email to an address at your domain that does not exist, it will be forwarded on to the "Default Destination" address, instead of bouncing back to the sender.

FieldPost also provides its customers with the ability to check and send e-mail from a website. If you are on vacation, at a client site, or just not at your desk, you can check your e-mail, respond, and then be able to later download your mail when you get back to the office.
